Experience Fall in Northern Michigan

Fall in Michigan isn't just about the colors, it's also about the sounds, the smells, and a general cozy feeling. Charlevoix is situated in the middle of many of the most popular Northern Michigan fall destinations. Why not make The Earl your home base for your fall tour this year? Stay in comfort and luxury after a day of adventure.

Need some ideas for your fall adventure?

We've put together a list of our favorite fall activities in Northern Michigan:

Charlevoix Apple Festival - The 43rd annual will be held October 14-16, 2022. Enjoy food, fun and laughter in downtown Charlevoix. Sign up for the 5k fun run.

Friske Farm Market - A well-known Northern Michigan tradition is heading over to Friske Farm Market, a 14-minute drive south from The Earl. Enjoy apples, cider, woodfired pizza and many fall events. Fall Fest Saturdays run from Sept 24- Oct 15, 2022.

Boyne - Another picturesque drive through Northern Michigan splendor to shops, restaurants, and the shores of Lake Charlevoix. Ride the Boyne Resort chairlift to the top of the mountain for a bird's eye view of the colors. Harvest Fest takes place Sept 30, 2022.

Tunnel of Trees - A beautiful, 49-minute coastline drive north from The Earl. Stop along the way at any one of the many turnoffs to skip a stone along the Lake Michigan shoreline. After completing your drive through the Tunnel of Trees, continue a bit further to Pond Hill Farms for their Fall Fest Weekends that run Sept 24- Oct 23, 2022. We hear they have a haunted vineyard and family fright nights!
