We've put together a list of our favorite fall activities in Northern Michigan:

Charlevoix Apple Festival - Usually held the second weekend in October. Enjoy food, fun and laughter in downtown Charlevoix. Sign up for the 5k fun run.

Friske Farm Market - 14 minute drive from The Earl- A well-known Northern Michigan tradition is heading over to Friske Farm Market. Enjoy apples, cider, woodfired pizza and many fall events. Fall Fest Saturdays usually run September - October.

Boyne - 33 minute drive from The Earl - Another picturesque drive through Northern Michigan splendor to shops, restaurants, and the shores of Lake Charlevoix. Ride the Boyne Resort chairlift to the top of the mountain for a bird's eye view of the colors and walk the Sky Bridge for an exhilarating experience.

Tunnel of Trees - 1 hour drive from The Earl - A beautiful, 49-minute coastline drive north from The Earl. Drive up M-119 starting at the north end of Petoskey and follow it all the way up to Cross Village. Stop along the way at any one of the many turnoffs to skip a stone along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Along the way you will encounter Pond Hill Farms. We highly recommend stopping in for a few hours at least. Their Fall Festival offers squash rockets, pumpkin smashing, pumpkin bowling, hayrides, cider, and donuts and so much more.
